Established in 1981, WMSE Radio has been providing the Milwaukee community with award winning music programming for over 40 rocking years. More than just a radio station, WMSE is a staple in the Milwaukee community supporting local artists and businesses. We were able to stay on the air throughout the pandemic in part thanks to our amazing listeners, volunteers and supporters. About WMSE
Founded in 1981, WMSE celebrated 40 years of bringing the Milwaukee community meaningful music programming last year. WMSE's mission is to educate the members of our community by providing a wide selection of musical programming unavailable anywhere else on the radio dial; to be an outlet for local artist who would otherwise receive little or no commercial radio exposure in our community; and to support MSOE’s academic mission.
